Frequently Asked Questions

About Our Products

What does “Research Use Only” (RUO) mean?

All products sold by Epiq Aminos are classified as Research Use Only (RUO). This means they are manufactured and sold exclusively for use in scientific research settings — including in-vitro studies, receptor binding assays, cell culture experiments, and analytical method development. RUO products are not approved for human consumption, veterinary use, or any diagnostic or therapeutic application. Purchasers represent that they understand and will comply with this designation.

Who can purchase from Epiq Aminos?

Our products are sold to qualified researchers, academic institutions, and research organizations. By placing an order, you represent that you are at least 21 years of age, that you have the necessary knowledge and training to handle research chemicals safely, and that all products will be used solely for lawful research purposes in compliance with all applicable regulations. See our Terms & Conditions for complete purchaser representations.

What purity level do your products meet?

All peptide products are verified at ≥99% purity by independent third-party HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) analysis. Molecular identity is confirmed via mass spectrometry. Each product ships with documentation of these quality specifications.

What is a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?

A Certificate of Analysis is an independent laboratory document verifying the identity and purity of a specific product batch. Our COAs include HPLC purity data, molecular weight confirmation via mass spectrometry, batch/lot number, and testing date. COAs are available on product pages. If you cannot locate a COA for a specific product, contact us and we will provide it. For guidance on interpreting COA data, see our blog post: How to Read a Certificate of Analysis.

How should I store my products?

Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides should be stored at -20°C for long-term storage or 2-8°C for short-term storage. Keep products in their original sealed containers, protected from light and moisture. Detailed storage guidelines are included with each product and on our Peptide Storage reference page.

Are these products the same as FDA-approved medications?

No. Our products are research chemicals sold under RUO classification. They have not undergone FDA review or approval. They are not drugs, supplements, or medical devices. The RUO designation reflects their regulatory status and intended use in laboratory research settings only.

Orders & Shipping

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit cards processed through secure, encrypted payment systems. All payment information is handled by PCI-compliant third-party processors and is never stored on our servers.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1-2 business days (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays). We ship via USPS, UPS, and FedEx. Once shipped, transit times depend on the carrier and destination. You will receive a confirmation email with tracking information when your order ships.

Do you ship internationally?

Shipping availability varies by jurisdiction. Research chemical regulations differ by country, and it is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all import regulations applicable in their location. Contact us for specific inquiries about international shipping.

Is shipping insured?

Yes. All orders include shipping insurance against carrier loss or damage. See our Shipping & Returns page for complete details on lost package claims and damage reporting procedures.

Returns & Quality

What is your return policy?

Due to the nature of research materials and the importance of maintaining chain-of-custody integrity, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges once an order has been processed. Please verify your order carefully before completing your purchase. For complete policy details, see our Terms & Conditions and Shipping & Returns pages.

What if my order arrives damaged?

If an item arrives damaged, notify us within 3 business days of delivery with your order number and clear photographs of the damage (both product and packaging). We photograph every shipment before dispatch for verification. Upon review and confirmation, we may issue a replacement for the affected item at our discretion. See our Shipping & Returns page for complete procedures.

What is your quality guarantee?

We stand behind the quality of every product. If you have a product independently tested by an accredited third-party laboratory and the results show purity below 95% or actual content more than 10% under the labeled amount, we will cover the cost of the test and issue a full refund, store credit, or replacement. The testing lab must be US-accredited and results must be verifiable. Complete terms are on our Shipping & Returns page.

Is Epiq Aminos a pharmacy or compounding facility?
